Death is the Road to Awe. by SharpWriter Death is the Road to Awe. by SharpWriter
“If there’s no one beside you when your soul embarks,
then I’ll follow you into the dark.”

I hope dying can be this pretty, here is some art inspired from one of my all time favorite movies “The Fountain” if you haven’t seen it, you need to. You can thank me later.

I got some cool cloud brushes so I tinkered with them along with some cloud textures on this I think they came out good.

Done Totally in CS3+Coca Cola+Wacky Tablet+ 7 hours=this

Full view or DIE.

Most underrated/under-appreciated film of the decade.

"All these years, all these memories, there was you. You pull me through time. "

That one part, where he gazes on his tattoos, where he remembers her... this film is one of the few favorites I have. A marvelous piece you have done.

Damnit. I've never seen this movie, but if it's half as good as this painting I'd be happy. The background is awesome in itself. The clouds and glitter-stars make me happy. I like how this really seems to glow. Looks like there's a reflection on this, like I'm looking through glass, and it intrigues me - the pillars and swirls are nicely placed and catch my interest without being distracting. The orb itself creeps my shit out because I do not like aliens. Or bald people. But I like the moon surface effect on the bottom of the orb (and I'm calling it an orb because that term short and easy). The grass is wonderful, nicely defined, and the tree is gorgeous. The only thing that really sticks out to me in a weird way is the top of the orb where it's dark. And the chick is standing funny.

I am so glad my wife and I weren't the only ones to like that movie. (we certainly were in our local theatre) When we were walking out of it all we saw were people cussing, scatchin their heads and a bunch of wtf? faces... But it's one of our faves too.

have you seen "the man from earth" by chance?
