ULAG Son of Noj by SharpWriter ULAG Son of Noj by SharpWriter
Another character design from LAWLESS and more portfolio work.

ULAG is a resident of the wasteland, which is pretty much the most awful place on earth. Raditation has caused him to from an early age be deformed in many ways, the most obvious is his arm. While being able to use it for basic defense he cannot grip a weapon or deal any serious damage with it. He stands in at 6'8" and weights 440lbs. His sword is made from pure tungsten metal making it weigh close to 80lbs by itself.

Long story short, ULAG does not fuck around.

neck is too big, head too small, I understand the right arm is supposed to be deformed, but it doesn't look right, make it proportional to the rest of the body. Other than that, good job!

You don't get it, do you? A thick neck generally conveys a sense of musculature. His head fits the right proportions for an archetypal "muscleman", and a deformed arm must by definition be out of proportion, otherwise it wouldn't be "deformed"... so what are you talking about?
Still, you are entitled to your opinion. :)

Nice idea posting to reddit :)

Anyway, very cool design, nice and intricate. But just wondering, if one arm is deformed does he swing his sword with only one hand? It looks almost 2h-ish. I mean it would be cool and Ike-like but still. Just wondering about the character ^^ nice work!

or a mutated enemy

Beautiful work. What's the backstory behind the atrophied right arm?

Also: does this mean you've moved on from your Presidents series? =D

Looks really cool.

There`s something about his right arm that seems a bit off. Could be the angle.
